Great photo, and a very different atmosphere than your daytime photo. I love the reflection of sunsets and sunrises on the water, and have posted a few sunset over the Pacific photos on my site. I am sure that you Italians know how to use the mussels once they are harvested.

Gorgeous! And the bird you refer to as a European shag looks like what we would call a cormorant with that characteristic wing spread.
Chuck: The European Shag or Common Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis) is a species of cormorant, with a smaller size. Ciao!
