I can only apologise for cutting and pasting this comment, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise. I have only one pair of hands and the magical elves that I have working for me are a bunch of lazy good-for-nothings. All they do is sit around smoking, playing cards and throwing rocks at the reindeer!
Anyway, from myself, Henry and Ezra, have a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!
I hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs, and may your stocking be stuffed full of lots of tasty treats and not coal!
Although I have not been able to get around the City Daily Photo Blogs as much as I would have liked these past few months, especially since the last heart attack, I'd like to drop in at this time to wish you and your family the very best wishes for Christmas.
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. -Diane Arbus-
Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. -Henri Cartier Bresson-
I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed. - Garry Winogrand-

On a clear day I can see England from my island but not such scenery as this beauty.
Riesco a sentire il freddo fino a qui ! Solo la bora pulisce l' aria in quel modo.
Hi Rob, it looks like you will have nice weather for the holidays--all the best for the season! (the view is spectacular...)
Wow, that's a great view! How often is it that clear in Trieste?
Fantastic! Somehow the presence of the lamppost makes the mountains look even more impressive. I could imagine walking here every day.

Great scenery!
I did not notice the mountains before. The place is just magic!
