As well as donating the palazzo which is now a museum bearing his name, Baron Revoltella also bequeathed his country villa to the city.Built like an alpine chalet, the villa lies at the top of a hill overlooking the whole town, and is surrounded by a magnificent garden.

I love your description of its location, but the first word that came to my mind when I saw this was "cute!" The colors make it look like a dollhouse. :D

Villa Revotella, ci sono stato poche volte, di solito giocavamo nel sottostante Boschetto ... :-)
Mia mamma si e' sposata nella Cappella del parco...io ci passavo spesso i pomeriggi di primavera. Ho dei ricordi splendidi di Trieste e spero di riuscire a tornarci prima o poi....manco da troppo tempo
