Seafront promenade

The Barcola seafront heaves with people of all ages in bikinis and bathing suits, lounging on sunbeds or strolling up and down the promenade, from April till late September. The hedge you can see on the right was planted there a few years ago, to hide their glistening suntanned bodies from the view of drivers cruising along the main road leading into Trieste, to avoid accidents!
In the distance you can just make out the town and the lighthouse.

Is this the beach in Trieste? The idea of the drivers having accidents made me laugh!

Love the shadows and the long view down and so clean.

Barcola, is Trieste's favorite promenade ... absolutely unique in Italy. It's a "living room" for all Triestini, one goes there to see, "be seen" , and have a blast !

La foto, come sempre, e' stupenda, siete proprio bravi !

Hi Rob,
I missed quite a few stunning picture of yours.

I like the perspective, the lines, and the shadows in this photo. They make a very beautiful composition!

I also like the haphazardness of the railway junction you posted on November 18, and the geometric designs and colors on your November 17th post photo.

I like the othes too, but those two are what I like most.

So beautiful. Funny about the hedge there to keep the drivers from causing accidents ;)
