You've got a beautiful blog. Italy have a exciting history and beautiful architecture. And of course great red wines :-) I have visited Genova once, but I will return to Italy for more visits.
PS - in Pula, we mostly went to Zelenika (Valkane) and Stoja beaches (plaze). Once in a while, we'd go to Zlatne Stijene to see the Yugoslavian movie stars. I got autographs from Ljubisa Samardjic & Neda Arneric when I was 10 yrs-old. That was so cool.
Looks like the interiors might actually upstage the exhibits! Magnificent!
I have to talk with a priest-artist friend of mine to find out about the Madonna with the moon at her feet. It's so common here. I always just assumed the imagery came from Spain too (along with the religion). Now I'm curious why you don't seem to have it.

Superb angle and compositional elements. A beautiful place.
Thanks for commenting on my Beetle post, Rob. What does "maggiolino" mean, btw?
Marvellous image. Love of the sweep stais and the sepia tones.
Stunning! If only we had such fantastic places in my little town.
